Online counselling works well for individuals, couples, and families. Participants can join sessions from the same space or from different locations, which can be particularly helpful when coordinating schedules or living apart.

Do I need special technology?

Not at all. All you need is a device with a camera and microphone - a laptop, tablet, or smartphone works. Sessions take place on a secure, private platform that is easily accessible, and I'll guide you through the process to make it simple and stress-free.  

What if I don't feel comfortable on video?

We can explore what feels right for you. Some clients prefer audio-only sessions, while other use video, or even a mix of both. Your comfort and sense of safety always come first. 

Is online therapy as effective as in-person therapy?

Yes, research shows that online counselling can be just as effective as face-to-face sessions. The most important elements - trust, connection, and a safe, supportive space - can all be maintained online easily. 

What if I experience  technical issues during a session?

If something goes wrong, we always have a backup plan. This might be switching to another platform, a phone call or rescheduling if needed. Technology should support your therapy, not create stress. 

Is online therapy confidential?

Yes, sessions are held on a secure platform, and confidentiality is maintained in line with professional and ethical standards. 

How do I ensure
privacy during sessions?

A quiet, comfortable place where you won't be interrupted works best. This might be at home, in a parked car, or another private space. If privacy feels difficult, we can talk through practical options together.
